Paul Forth has more than 40 years’ experience in the finance industry across a wide variety of roles. He began his career at Yorkshire Bank where he worked for over 25 years.
He joined NatWest Private Banking in 2005 moving into the Corporate and Commercial Team in 2007 and went on to join the Commercial Agriculture, Energy & Landed Estates Team at NatWest in 2011 where he worked with large commercial farm businesses and estates.
Over the next 12 years Paul gained valuable experience in the Agricultural Sector working with farms involved in arable, dairy, pigs & poultry as well as gaining a reputation for funding a wide variety of on-farm renewable energy projects. Typical funding requirements varied from £1m to £25m.
Paul ‘retired’ from banking in 2023 to set up his own Agricultural Consultancy Business and over the last three years, in addition to working with local accountants and solicitors, has provided support to farms faced with challenges ranging from the need to raise finance or the restructuring of their business for the future.
From his experience over the past 3 years the businesses that Paul has dealt with tend to fall into three categories: –
- There has been a breakdown in the relationship between the business and their finance provider, for whatever reason, and the business is looking to re-bank.
- The business is planning an acquisition, considering a new project or looking to restructure for the future and they don’t know who their bank manager is or who to speak with to secure the funding that they require.
- The business is considering a new asset purchase, and they want to be sure that the finance offer they opt for is the best that is available.
Paul joined the team at Red Sky in June 2026, and his focus will be primarily, although not exclusively, in the agricultural sector.
Paul is married and has two grown up children and two grandchildren.
